Details
With just a hint of a visible cabinet surrounding the drawer, the Loop Bedside Table (2020) defies logic, especially when you interact with it and discover its sturdy construction. The frame is slim, but not quite as slim as it appears from the front, where it’s been “stepped back,” or tapered to create the appearance of thinness without sacrificing durability. Loop is the work of Rotterdam-based designer and Earnest Studio founder Rachel Griffin, who credits the consistent proportions of the drawers with giving this collection a pleasing visual cadence. A simple loop drawer pull and crisp mitered edges complete the neatly finished look. Made in Estonia.

Earnest Studio
Originally trained as a graphic designer, Rachel Griffin founded Earnest Studio in 2012 to explore themes of modularity and multiplicity through furniture and accessories. The American-born, Rotterdam-based designer brings an innovative touch to her work, like the porcelain Kink Vase she designed for Muuto. With a double opening, the sculptural form is beautiful on its own or filled with flowers.
