The Edel Table (2020) is designed for today’s changing world, where the dining table is also used as a desk, classroom, and more. It’s the work of Norway-based Thomas Jenkins and Sverre Uhnger, who bring Scandinavian design language together with new technologies to create pieces that speak quietly but offer hidden delights once in use. Each table has at least one locking drawer accessible via solid brass key and a concealed system for cord routing. The mini version features a single locking drawer with center divider and rear cord channel, and the standard and grand versions feature three drawers on each side (center drawers lock) with central cord channels. Use the mini as a desk for one or table for two, the standard as a desk for two or table for six, and the grand as an executive desk for two, a shared workstation, or a table for eight.
