Thanks to a special collaboration between Rietveld Originals and HAY, the Crate Collection (1934) is back in production, ready to be enjoyed by Gerrit Rietveld fans worldwide. The Crate Coffee Table, or Low Table, is true to the Dutch architect’s original design, with precisely balanced proportions, a square top, and diagonal crossbars. Its transparent construction is also true to Rietveld’s original intent, which was to minimize production costs and optimize the assembly process. Made in China.
- Wood has been dried to a humidity specifically for outdoor use; indoor use not recommended.

Gerrit Rietveld
Born in 1888, Dutch architect and furniture designer Gerrit Rietveld is one of the most influential figures of the De Stijl art movement. His avant-garde approach focused on adapting design to the ways people lived their lives, always seeking harmony between architecture and interior. Many of Rietveld’s pieces are modern icons, featuring in the permanent collections of museums across the world.
